Allan J. Weltman
Author / Mediator

Long before the age of DNA tests, Ancestry.com, and the digital labyrinth of genealogy websites, I carried a persistent yearning to uncover the roots of my existance. My siblings and I, although resembling each other physically, semed to navigate life with contrasting approaches.
In his twilight years, my father and I would sit down together, gazing at the original photographs of his family in Russia. He would point out each member - his parents, sisters, brothers, and cousins recounting their names with remarkable clarity. Given the vastness of our family tree, I soon found it necessary to record these stories. When my parents passed on, I inherited not only these cherished photographs but also the notes that would launch my journey into the past.

My book on how a Homeowner can challenge a Homeowner Association without retribution

Most existing Homeowner Associations (HOA’s) are well-run, but there are always areas where improvements can be made. Serving on the Board of Directors presents challenges, as it is difficult to satisfy all homeowners expectations. Differing opinions on how to manage the association can create tensions and conflict
HOA’s in Florida have faced numerous legal, financial, and operational challenges over the years. Many issues stem from poor governance, lack of transparency, financial mismangement, and conflicts over homeowners rights.

While Florida’s HOA laws are amoung the most comprehensive in the country, enforcement remains inconsistent. Selective enforcement of rules continue to fuel conflicts. Legislative reforms have made progress, but ongoing oversight and consistent enforcement are essential to protect homeowners rights and ensure stable, transparent community governance. I am writing this book to help you protect your rights as a homeowner.
